The group entered the manufacturing sector in 1984 through the acquisition of a construction chemicals company in the UK.
Its objective was to invest in strategic industries that complement its distribution and specialized contracting businesses, while also developing brands with global export potential.

Building Chemical Research (BCR)
Bardawil Group expanded into the UK and manufacturing sectors in the early 80s through the acquisition of a small UK-based construction chemical manufacturer, Building Chemical Research Ltd. As the first company to develop the pre-measured powder mortar plasticizer sachet, BCR remains the world’s largest producer of this well-known and widely used building admixture.
